What to Bring...
| Are you coming to camp for the first time? Have you been coming to camp for years? Or are you just not sure of what to bring? Coming to a week (or two) of camp can be tough when you aren't sure what to bring. Below are some ideas of what you might want to bring to camp. Also, we have a list of things that aren't allowed at camp, so that will make your packing a little easier. Have a great camp session this year, and remember, please don't bring too much stuff! | |
Important Items to Bring
- Good Attitude and an Open Mind
- Bible
- Pillow & Sleeping Bag / Blankets and/or Sheets
- Plenty of Clothes
(remember warm clothes & our dress code) - Flashlight/Battery Lantern
- Camera
- Lap Blanket
- Notebook and Pen
(stamps, envelopes, and addresses of family/friends) - Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap, Shampoo, Towels, Wash cloths, floss, etc.
- Bug Repellent
("deep woods" varieties recommended) - Alarm Clock
- Canteen Money

What NOT to Bring - Inappropriate clothing (bikini bathing suits, short shorts, tank tops, etc)
- Laptop computers (unless under direction of the director(s) of the camp)
- Coolers, food, pop, etc (If you have special dietary needs, please talk to the camp director.)
- Inappropriate magazines, books, photos, etc.
- Cellular phones, Palm Pilots or other Personal Digital Assistants, CD or MP3 players (including IPOD), CDs, DVDs, portable DVD players, etc.
- Weapons (knives, firearms (including BB guns and Airsoft guns), etc.)
There are many things we can add to this list. Use your best judgement. If you have a question about something you shouldn't bring to camp, see your youth minister or contact the camp director for more information. |
